Test Day!

So today was test day.. and it was a disaster from start to finish. I was only able to complete 2 of 3 outfits and told my instructor so before class. It turns out that neither of the other 2 students were prepared either, so out test was postponed until next Wednesday. All I can say is one great big.. WHEW!

As I said, I did not finish my cocktail presentation and now that I have a lot more time, I'm going to choose something else.

Even though I was prepared to present, Im glad I didnt actually have to present today. I had a few issues and I didnt have time to ask about them or didnt know if I should, but now I have asked and now I have some solutions that will make for a MUCH better walk about the stage. :)

One of the problems I had was my walk for business casual. Every walk I had in my inventory had my avatars thigh breaking through the hem of the dress with every step. Unacceptable, I know, but I simply did not have time to go find another that did work. As it turns out, after class I went to find a walk that would work and after going through all the ladies walks at Vista Animations I started standing on the pose stands for the mens AO's out of sheer frustration. lol Naturally, one of them worked, it didnt send my thigh through my hem. The walk was otherwise unusable because it was obviously a mans gait, but I did notice that the thighs widened before the animation started so that gave me an idea. My idea was to edit my appearance and then widen my avatars hips in the shape just a few notches. It worked perfectly. Now every walk in my inventory will work. Now I can choose a walk based on how well it captures the spirit of the outfit and not whether my thighs show when they arent supposed to! hehe So, thats something I learned today. :)
