STUDENT

Last week, I opened up my search on Second Life with the thought of looking for anyone hiring a model. I saw an ad for a school, so I thought, what the heck, its late and I dont have anything better to do so Ill go check it out. So I teleported to it.

I arrived at Dallas Modeling Academy, which I believe is also the agency. To my surprise there were two other people there, Suki Barrowstone, the owner and principal of the school, and another model, Emily Deshanel Rexen. They were both welcoming and spent quite a long while talking to me about modeling and schools and classes. They even challenged me to walk a straight line.. :O! By the way, I fell off on my first attempt, but on my second attempt I made it all the way across, turned and came back without falling off. I was proud of me. I was given an application that evening.

The next day, Thursday, I sent her the application, or I thought I had. In actuality what I did was rename one of the instruction notecards and sent that and kept the application that I filled out in my inventory. Sometimes, I am scary stupid. Finally got her the actual filled out application and then to my shock, she asked me if I was ready to start a class that was to begin right then, or about 5 min from then.

So I quickly threw on some clothes and accepted the teleport. Thus starts how I came to be a student in modeling school.

  1. This is a beautiful story! I am glad we "wisked you" off your feet and you landed in this wonderful world of virtual modeling! The name of the academy is Dallas Modeling Company (DMC) and all students who graduate from our school are automatically accepted into our agency and can start working right away!

  2. Welcome to the DMC Academy, Sorenna! Yay! You will be surprised how well you develop as an aspiring model with all of DMC's instructor guidance. Don't let falling off a plank discourage you, it is part of "Right of Passage" for all of us, hahah. Hugs
